AÑOS LUX
Las innovaciones técnicas, el consumo desenfrenado y el deseo de alcanzar la belleza ideal son algunas de las cuestiones que inspiraron la creación y la puesta en escena de este espectáculo. Años Lux explora el universo del consumo para profundizar sobre las paradojas existentes dentro del mundo contemporáneo.
El título de la obra es también el nombre de un centro comercial dónde, hacia finales de la década del 50, un joven matrimonio pasea durante su primer aniversario de bodas. Un salón de belleza y una tienda de electrodomésticos son los escenarios dónde la pareja es asediada por novedosos productos y ofertas.

AÑOS LUX (2005)
Technological innovations, frantic consumerism and the desire to keep the status of youth, are some of the questions which inspired the creation of this show. Años Lux explores the universe of consumerism to study in depth paradoxes existing in the contemporary world.
Años Lux is also the name of a shopping centre where, during the late 50s, a young couple hang around on their first anniversary. A beauty shop and an electronic shop are the sets in which this couple are beseted by new goods and offers.
Mariana Obersztern, coordinator of the theater area at the Centro Cultural Ricardo Rojas, says about the show: “The theater performance, (…) have a considerate and inspired care with the form, and with everything that goes into stage. The play seems to know some secret about the objects: Sofía Médici, Betine Waengertner y Virginia Mihura (Años Lux) display them to the contemplation by giving them poetry and multiplying their resonances (…)
